Have you put off your own physical fitness for far too long? Maybe it’s time to make your health a priority. You may have gotten bogged down by housework, busy schedules, paying bills, working, and the long list of other responsibilities involved in living a life… But one of those responsibilities is taking care of yourself. Don’t worry… You are not alone! We can work on this together.

Think of your overall health as a pie, comprised of three delicious ingredients: spiritual health, physical health, and emotional (and/or mental) health. It’s important to not neglect any of those ingredients, although many of us are probably having a tough time with a couple… or maybe even all of them! That’s ok! It’s just important to realize that you are struggling – then make a plan. For example, if you’re hurting spiritually, reach out to your church. They would love to hear from you. If you don’t have a church, I know a great one! *wink* Or if you’re not there yet, just reach out to family and friends that you trust and ask for their prayers. Send ME a message and I’ll pray for you! The point is, do something. You’ll be happy you did.

My plan is simple: eat well and exercise regularly. Couldn’t get simpler, right? The plan’s a little more complicated than that, but it’d be a LOOOOOOOOOOONG read! But that sums up the physical piece of my pie pretty well. Spiritually, I’m reading the bible every (I’m on the “Read the Bible in a Year” Plan) day, praying regularly (on my own and as a family), reading devotionals, serving at and attending my church each Sunday and I’m committing to posting to my blog more regularly. Emotionally, I’m forgiving myself for being human and for letting my weight get out of control. I’m accepting myself for who I am and letting go of who I was. I’m living in the now, not the past or the future. Mmmmm that’s going to be a tasty pie! Wait, now I want pie…

Just kidding! But, I am excited about what’s happening in my life – in my heart and soul. I am ready to love myself again! Time to work those muscles. Time to get STRONG!
